Back in October last year

I started the restoration on this Chidgey.

All the bottom stressies and dings have been prepped

and glass cut.

All glassed.

A new nose was fitted and glassed.

All the repairs were sanded and the

bottom gloss coat applied.

The deck pinline was re done and the deck has been glossed.

WARREN CORNISH

This is a Warren Cornish

flyer swallow tail that I have been working on.

It is a one owner board which was a costom order.

Owner and board have travelled extensively over seas.

So it has sentemental value.

This photo shows the board ready for polishing.

It was wet and dry sanded to 1500g.

Polished and ready to go home.

I recently aquired this little beauty.

It's 7' 6"

As you can see the bottom is in pretty bad shape.

With a pretty bad gash on the deck.

This is going to take some time.

But I will up date when ever work gets done.

The plan is to rebuild the bottom.

Layup and set a new fin.

 Pigment coat to the cutlap line and pinline.

Leave the deck and rails original.

Not sure about that gash on the deck.

Another restoration for 2010.

This is a one owner board.

The board is owned by the father one of my regular clients.

When this one is done his mothers old mal is comming in

for a restoration.

SURF SYDNEY AN EXHIBITION

It must be a couple of years ago now.

 I was contacted by Gary Crockett who is curator

with the Historic Houses Trust of NSW.

He was puting together an exhibition on surfing

in the 50's 60's and 70's.
I had thought from time to time how it was coming along.
Then the other day I stumbled across his blog.

I've been helping a friends son glass his first board.

I must have been explaining somthing.

I seem to have their attention.

It gives one the time, to take time.

with resin pinline glue up either side.

Well worth restoring.

But it is only in for repairs.

But it has been cut down.

A new fin panel has been layed up and is curing.
